Napoleon Red

Here is Napoleon Red the rooster riding Pearl the pony. He was rescued and brought to Goat Mountain Ranch Sanctuary by a woman who found him in the mountains and he was challenging her dogs.  He seemed to have no fear.

He would jump on Pearl’s back and scratch a bit which she liked and then jump off.  Eventually he started riding her out of the pen area and into the pasture where he would jump off and forage for bugs.  He tried to herd the pony and the sheep, so we added the name Napoleon to his original name Red.

One day a hawk was overhead and Napoleon was safely in the barn.  He ran out of the barn and attacked the hawk, which didn’t bode well for him.  We miss his fearlessness!   Pearl misses his back scratching.
