Gina is a rescued ex-layer hen who was de-beaked when she was born so she could not peck at the other chickens in her cramped cage.  Her now deformed beak makes it impossible to live as a normal chicken even though she has been rescued and lives with people who love her.  She cannot peck food off the ground or even off a plate.  To survive she has to be fed from a deep bowl with enough food in it so she can scoop the food up in her lower jaw and fling it into her mouth.  Naturally, most of her food ends up on the ground where she cannot recover it.  But this girl has spunk and she does not give up.  With a little help from her friends, she is getting along just fine.
